Das Rote Pferd des Krieges

Hey all! Hope you don't mind my political illustration posted here....
It just came out from an innocent drawing of a horse.....
I was thinking of the Blaue Reiter and then it kinda morphed into this illus.

Beautiful. If we artists stop speaking our minds about what is going on in the world today, who will? I will be posting some political cartoons myself in the future. Maybe start here and branch off like skribbl and robo. Knockout stuff nagi. You make our blog infinitely better for being here.

Fantastic. Nagi, you kick ass. From the point of view of an outsider to this fucked up nation, I'm always amazed at how this idea of America houses both the best of humanity and the worste all co-habitating in a fragile democracy plagued these days with apathy. Beyond manufacturing and skilled labour, the US has always been the breadbasket of thought and ideas for the world at large and when those ideas get reduced to sound bites that sell shitty stuff to stupid sheep, we're all in danger of losing our humanity to the machine. America is not to be abandoned. No stereotype can define this country. This is a place where the idea is bigger than the result and work like this, Nagi, is representitive of those intentions. Kudos on you for posting it. Whether you agree with the policy or disagree, the only mistake is to do nothing. The count was right (or left I guess), this intelligence is a much needed asset to balance our often profane sillieness. This blog, I've learned today, is to be a place where thought bounces and an outlet for those ideas that fall through the cracks of the average story meeting. Where those ideas fall, this blog is now a place to catch them. Thank you for the discourse and for the Art.
Don't you all wish you were Canadian....Oh fuck, we've got one of those conservatives telling us what to do too....well at least we don't have the bomb.

or do we.

i'm convinced that if FDR said "there is nothing to fear but fear itself" today, it would be dismissed as a 'shitty soundbyte' for 'stupid sheep'.

You know, there is nothing to fear but fear itself...unless you count war, famine, heatstroke, colesteral, bad milk, sharp scissors, rabid dogs, bird flu, traffic, my wife, God, and the commies. Wait, are we still at war with God?

I hope we're not comparing FDR with Bush. Admittedly, the 'shitty soundbite' is a useful tool, and most often, the 'sheep' ain't so 'stupid'. Intelligent debate is what I crave, and I'm not feeling it from this pres...history will judge though, not me, I'm just a sheep. Cud anyone?
