Something happened to me this weekend to make me question the nature of the universe. On Sunday I decided to drive the family out to Montrose where they were having their annual arts and crafts festival. It's a fun event with great food, live music and people sell their paintings and crafty things on Honolulu st. We leave our house and drive down our street, then a green sign catches my eye.
Now I'm thinking to myself, I've never seen a sign for a lost turtle in my life. It's kind of funny and random. The turtle couldn't have gotten far. I'll probably go the rest of my life without seeing another lost turtle sign. It would be funny to make a sign that says someone found a turtle and post it up next to this one... but probably not because that would be cruel to the owners of the lost turtle. I'm seriously thinking about this turtle sign for about 5 minutes as I drive to Montrose.
It takes a while to get there and when we arrive there isn't a lot of parking available. We end up parking on a side street and we start walking to the festival. That's when I see this.
What the hell? Are you kidding me!??!!? I go my whole life without seeing a poster for a lost turtle, FIFTEEN MINUTES later I see a sign for a turtle someone found?!!?!? This is 11 MILES AWAY! In a completely different town! I feel like someone is toying with me...
Now, I can't for a second believe this is the same turtle. I called. It's the universe messing with me. It does this about every 3 years.

Have you alerted the owners of the lost turtle to the found one in Montrose?
I think you should claim it and eat it. Then you'd be part of the story. Wear the shell to work like a hat. You'd be a fine dandy then.

This is an amusing story, perhaps someone stole the turtle and got tired of it. Looks like you got material for a funny turtle story.

Or maybe it was just a hitch-hiking turtle... The story certainly makes ya think. If someone stole it will they want a reward for 'returning' it?
Some guy stole a dog last year in Toronto then when the owner posted a fancy reward the thief tried to play the hero and claim it. But his kids ratted him out to the cops and they charged him.
...and I think KP is just being mean.
