My new cat. How to eat a cat sandwich.

I just got a new cat and she is awesome. I do this thing where I pretend to eat her in a sandwich.

Step 1. Get awesome cat.

Step 2. Make cat sandwich bread with your hands like this.

Step 3. Rotate.

Step 4. Bring cat sandwich up like this and open mouth.

Step 5. Pretend to take about 3 bites out of your cat sandwich.

Step 6. Say "Cat Sandwich" and release cat.

This is how NOT to eat a cat sandwich:

Tribute to a genius.

Drawing instructor and mentor, E. Mike Mitchell passed away yesterday. More than that, obviously, he was a brilliant artist. He impacted a lot of people for the better, myself included. Another former student of his posted this great tribute to him his blog. R.I.P., E. Mike Mitchell.

Thanks for the great tribute, Spencer Rockwell. Click on the link below to see Spencer's page.

Medals

I drew these for a company work party. People could compete in events at this party and win these medals. It's one of the only things I've drawn for fun in I don't know how long.

UPDATE: Only after I post this, so I see Willis has posted just today! I haven't posted here in a year maybe!!! Sorry to crowds you Willis!

The universe is messing with me... again.

Something happened to me this weekend to make me question the nature of the universe. On Sunday I decided to drive the family out to Montrose where they were having their annual arts and crafts festival. It's a fun event with great food, live music and people sell their paintings and crafty things on Honolulu st. We leave our house and drive down our street, then a green sign catches my eye.

Now I'm thinking to myself, I've never seen a sign for a lost turtle in my life. It's kind of funny and random. The turtle couldn't have gotten far. I'll probably go the rest of my life without seeing another lost turtle sign. It would be funny to make a sign that says someone found a turtle and post it up next to this one... but probably not because that would be cruel to the owners of the lost turtle. I'm seriously thinking about this turtle sign for about 5 minutes as I drive to Montrose.

It takes a while to get there and when we arrive there isn't a lot of parking available. We end up parking on a side street and we start walking to the festival. That's when I see this.

What the hell? Are you kidding me!??!!? I go my whole life without seeing a poster for a lost turtle, FIFTEEN MINUTES later I see a sign for a turtle someone found?!!?!? This is 11 MILES AWAY! In a completely different town! I feel like someone is toying with me...

Now, I can't for a second believe this is the same turtle. I called. It's the universe messing with me. It does this about every 3 years.

Jacked up Pomeranian needs love

Check out this cute dog. She's currently kicking it at The Pasadena Humane Society. Sadly this dog can only kick it with 3 legs as one is all gimped out for some reason. But what a sweet dog. If you're looking for a dog that you could beat in a race look no further. You could even make cool fake legs for her. Hide your valuables in the hollowed out leg. Make up a cool story about how your dog messed up its leg saving orphans from a burning building.
What's that? Why don't I adopt this dog? I've already done my time with a three legged dog. Tripper was his name. If I adopt this dog people that know me will think I have a weird three legged dog fetish. So, it's up to you to keep this dog from being incinerated. Tell your So Cal friends to go to Pasadena and grab this awesome dog.

Tablet PC

Here's a sketch I did on my new Tablet PC using Autodesk Sketchbook Pro. One day I'll throw down and get the Cintiq for working at home, but until then, the tablet gets the job done. Living in the future is cool.
