A New 2"x8" Comic

Hey! It's been a long time since I posted here, and an even longer time since I've drawn a 2x8 strip. I was in the process of packing up my office (they are moving me to another office tomorrow) and I stumbled upon a small pad of 2x8 dialogue strips, a rarity up here in Pixar land. I was so happy that I immmediately sat down and started drawing. So here it is, my new 2x8 strip starring a dinosaur I drew about a year ago.
I hereby challenge my fellow Storyboredom bloggers to draw their own 2x8 strips!! C'mon guys!! It'll be like 2005 all over again!! Remember those bygone days? The video Ipod was brand new!! The PSP was brand new!! The PS3 existed only in rumors!!! "Lazy Sunday" was the viral video of the moment!!! It was an innocent time....
Anyway, here it is.

I might be wrong about this, but I really like what seems to be two smart guys, not "smart-guy, dumb guy". Don't get me wrong. C&L is that idea done to a T. I love it. I just enjoy the different dynamic here. New John-ness! Cool!

Hey Jim!! It seems that way doesn't it?
Stay tuned...
Matt!!! What I.m going for is 2 louts of average to above average intelligence. I'm with you, sometimes the smart/dumb contrast is overdone. It's fun to find other ways to contrast the characters. I have no idea how these guys will turn out, as I drew them with no pre-concieved personalities, much as I did with C&L.
We'll just have to see what happens.
Thanks!

That's awesome, John. They may not be a dumb/smart combo, but you've already got the foils of carnivore vs. herbivore.

This is great. There seems to be alot of possibilities with these characters, the contrast between carnivore and herbivore. Lookin forward to seeing more.
