Flynn's Arcade from Tron. Before/After Pics

When I started my new job in Culver City early this year, I was not familiar with the area at all. One of my friends pointed out that right down the street from us was the building they used to shoot the Flynn's Arcade stuff in. I grabbed my camera to shoot some exteriors of the building, but there were some nice guys doing some work inside and they let me take some pictures of the interior as well. I guess it used to be an Italian restaurant, but it's getting turned into something else.
For me this was huge. I loved the movie Tron growing up. I think It was one of the first movies I ever had on VHS.
Enjoy!
Also... Sorry the photos are so huge... still new to all this.

Haha! I didn't realize that building was in Tron. I went to that San Gennaro place once. It was a pathetically sad affair and I won't miss it much. Any idea what they're doing with the place? I've noticed they're working on it.

Not sure what it's going to be... but when I find out I'll post some more pics.

Ya know, I too am a super TRON geek. When I first started working for Disney back in 2000, they had us all take "the tour" of the lot and we stopped at the Prop warehouse. While we looked around this giant room filled with a gazillion props from different movies, the tour guide asked us if we recognized any items. My jaw dropped as I glanced up to the ceiling when I deiscovered the actual "Flynn's" neon light hanging high above us all. I asked if that was the prop from the exterior, and was told that "Yes it was.. ya know, it's funny because out of all the years I had been giving this tour, you are the first one to comment on that."

Someday I will find a way to purchase that prop and hang it proudly high above my house... ok.. I'll put it in the garage above my tron machine.

Cool pics, thanks for sharing
