Monkey!!

This was drawn at about 5:45 pm at the end of an excruciatingly long meeting. I hate afternoon meetings. Producers put them on the schedule because they think that productive work will actually get done. I've never actually been to a meeting that began after 4:00 where anything productive actually happened. Everyone is tired, brain dead and hungry. Maybe the workday should end at 4:00, because for all intents and purposes, it kind of already does.
Anyway, it's inspired by this hilarious short on the internet where a chimpanzee bar patron tells a joke to a chimpanzee bar tender(genius!).

HATE those meetings! We even get the occasional 7:30 meeting! Dayum! AND why do they insist on having 12:00 meetings?? Don't the directors need to take a piss and/or eat??!?!!!!????!!!?!?!?

Oh cool drawing. Touch my muhnkeey!

Everyone knows what the biggest problem with making an animated film is: meetings.
At least, for the artists. I wonder when that really got going and took over--the meeting mania that keeps everyone away from their desks and finishing anything so endless "reports" can bde shared, etc.? I'd guess in the 90s at Disney. And yep, those lunchtime-scheduled things are really obnoxious. People DO need to get AWAY from the production for at least 45 minutes! It's a GOOD thing!

Oh boy, that's my last nerve singing, heh...anyway--great monkey! : )

Preach on Brother Gribbon!! If you worked at Disney in the mid-90's, then you and I were probably in some of the same meetings!
Horrible things, meetings!
Things got worse during the evil Stainton regime!
Let us rejoice in his exile and the new era that is unfoldinng as we speak!
