Happy President's Day!

It's President's Day. For our international visitors, it's basically a holiday that gives us another three day weekend. Yeah! So for President's Day I present..

Todd Blankenship! President of the North Platte Nebraska's Official Star Wars Fanclub! (He's the one in the middle.)

With him are the rest of the club, Chad Gornecki and Randy Henderson. Chad is the treasurer of the club. Randy couldn't get the votes to get on the Jedi Council, but he's running again next year. He lost out because he couldn't host meetings at his Mom's house because she has cats and Todd is allergic.

Chad's bummed you couldn't see the rest of his Chewbacca suit, but can't put it on for another week and a half because he shot himself in the foot with his crossbow.

They go by "Yoda's Foot" because as Todd says "We kick butt."

Great drawing! Have you ever seen Evan Dorkin's Eltingville Club? Funny as hell, in the same vein.

The back story is more funny than the drawing, and the drawing is pretty damn funny.

Nice work.

Thanks all! Spock, I'm gonna go check out that club. I had never heard of it. It's so tough to find untouched creative territory..

Thanks Alina!

Paul, I loved Bloom County too.

Thanks rickart! I may do more with these guys too., unless, of course, it looks like I'm just copying what spock was talking about.

Handel. Thanks for the nice words. Just so you know, I've opened up kartoon kagematch to anonymous comment. If you still want to get in to debates and all that, THAT is the place for that. Anyone can comment there now. This is the last time I will address that stuff here.

Oh shit Spock! I just googled "Evan Dorkin's Eltingville Club". Shit. It does seem similar. Really similar. Guess this will be a one shot deal. Oh well. Thanks for the "heads up".

Count, I hope you don't think I was needling you with my Evan Dorkin comment. Far from it. I love your style and geeks are always ripe for satire. (Being an evolved geek myself)

Oh heck no, spock! No needling felt on my part. I really do appreciate the heads up. I would hate to think I had this idea first, try to do something with it, and have people say "Oh, he's just ripping off (X project here). That Evan Dorkin thing looks really good too. I'm gonna have to check that out. So, again, thank you!
